San Diego Charger Girls

Lindsay
Lindsay was born and raised in Riverside, CA. At the age of three, her mother enrolled her at Freddie Finn Dance Studios where she took classes and performed in several recitals. When Lindsay's parents saw her dancing on stage they knew this was something that was going to be a part of all of their lives. Since then, Lindsay has been dancing competitively for the last fifteen years and has made dancing a big part of her life goals. Her dancing skills include Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip-Hop, Modern and Lyrical. Lindsay attended and graduated from Arlington High School where she was a three year member and a captain of the school’s dance team. During her senior year of high school she was an A.S.B. Senior Class Historic and ran track. After graduating, Lindsay became a certified personal trainer and obtained her certificate to practice CPR and stretching. She has enjoyed every minute of it and loves helping people reach their health and fitness goals. This is her rookie year as a member of the Charger Girls and she couldn't be happier to be a part of such a talented group of ladies who all share the same love and passion for dance. “Performing with the girls” Lindsay says, “is the most rewarding part about it because you learn so much from each and every one of them.” Lindsay’s favorite part about being a Charger Girl is the feeling of belonging to something so special and having the privilege to represent the Chargers organization. Lindsay hopes to one day open her own facility where she can teach dance, stretching, exercise and nutrition. Lindsay is very thankful to her parents for all of their love and support and for always believing in her as a dancer.

Breann
Bre, as she likes to be called, is originally from Arizona and moved to San Diego this past year as a transfer student to the University of San Diego. She is currently pursuing a degree in Biochemistry. Bre credits her love of science and math to her father who is a dentist. Upon graduating from USD, Bre plans to start a non-profit organization to benefit high school girls that will aim to teach them how to live a healthy lifestyle. The organization's goal would be to prevent young girls from developing eating disorders by giving them alternate means of achieving their physical fitness goals in a healthy way. Aside from Bre's academic and career goals, she is a self proclaimed "goof ball." Bre grew up a tomboy who played soccer, wore braces, rubber bands and a head gear for eight years. In addition, she sought the help of a tongue specialist to assist her in learning how to swallow properly. Bre also confesses that she is accident prone and often trips at the most inopportune moments. She is thrilled to be a Charger Girls rookie this year and the team's unofficial "goof ball.” Bre feels that her goofy side has allowed her to become very close with her teammates. She has bonded with them during rehearsals, appearances and games and has come to find that these ladies are intelligent, beautiful, down-to-earth and individualistic at the same time, making for an incredibly dynamic group that never ceases to amaze her.

Kylette
Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, it was always Kylette’s dream to dance professionally. When the opportunity arose two weeks before the 2007 Charger Girls auditions, she left her family and friends, the University of New Mexico and the NBA D-League Thunderbirds Dance Team in hopes of making her dream come true. Kylette is thankful to be a 2nd year veteran of the San Diego Charger Girls. Although she misses her close knit family in New Mexico, she feels right at home here in San Diego. She loves the weather, the culture and the people – especially Chargers’ Fans – and can’t imagine living anywhere else. Kylette is truly honored to represent the Chargers organization and the beautiful city of San Diego. Her favorite part about being a member of the Charger Girls team is the opportunity it provides her to meet young girls that have the same aspirations she once had and that got her to where she is now. Being able to encourage and guide them is what really makes Kylette love putting on that uniform. She particularly enjoys working with the Jr. Charger Girls each year. Kylette is currently a student in San Diego with a focus on Speech Pathology. She hopes to combine her passion of becoming a sign language interpreter with helping children as a Speech Pathologist. Kylette has volunteered numerous hours for many great charity organizations such as the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Rachael’s House for Abused Women and Children, homeless shelters and many more. The one that is dearest to her heart is the American Diabetes Association. Kylette is an avid reader and enjoys novels by her favorite author, VC Andrews. She values spending time with her family and friends, camping and fishing and has recently discovered she has a knack for baking. She loves to travel and has had the pleasure of experiencing Spain, London, Australia and Mexico. Kylette’s family has instilled the importance of traveling and learning about other cultures. She hopes to visit Egypt, Venice and Chile in her future travels. Kylette was honored to represent the Charger Girls in Mexico City earlier this year where she participated in a promotional tour on behalf of NFL Mexico. She is proud to represent the Latino Community of San Diego. She takes pride in the beauty of her culture and heritage. In the future, Tonya would like to become a Casualty Assistance Calls Officer (CACO) to assist Navy surviving spouses. The CACO is an official representative of the Secretary of the Navy who provides information, resources and assistance to the next-of-kin in the event of a sailor’s death, injury or illness. Ashley is a 5th year veteran with the San Diego Chargers. She was born and raised in San Diego and has three siblings; an older brother and two younger sisters. Many people believe that Ashley comes from a Hispanic background, but in fact, she is Filipino, Irish, German and Russian. As a child, her parents enrolled her in everything; soccer, gymnastics, swimming and even baseball because they wanted her to find her own passion. As she grew, she took a special interest in gymnastics. This led her to become a competitive gymnast on a national level and was awarded numerous 1st place honors. With her gymnastics background she was able to begin training as a springboard diver. During her senior year in high school she was voted the Top Diver of the Year and placed in the Top 20 at the CIF Diving Championships. After years of being involved with athletics, Ashley realized her desire to help train athletes to reach their full potential. She started her schooling for a degree in Kinesiology. Soon after working in the fitness industry she realized her true calling for personal training. Ashley hopes to help the average person live a healthier lifestyle and reach their individual fitness goals. Ashley’s favorite Charger Girls memory is standing in the tunnel as a rookie on the day of her first game, looking around at her teammates and thinking to herself, “Wow, I’m an NFL Cheerleader!” Year after year she is able to relive this moment with each new rookie class as they wait to hear together, for the first time, “Here they are, the Hottest Dance Team in the NFL, your San Diego Charger Girls!”

Summer currently manages a dental practice where she has been instrumental in increasing the production and profit margin of the office by over 100% so far in 2008. Her most rewarding role is that of a dance instructor where she is able to merge her two passions in life, dancing and working with children. Giselle
Giselle comes to us from the beautiful country of Panama, where as a little girl she spent her days surrounded by family and unique Panamanian traditions. Although her family left Panama in 1988 and moved to Austin, Texas, they never let go of their Panamanian culture. Her parents continued to celebrate Panamanian holidays and dance traditions and insisted she and her brother be fluent in both Spanish and English. Giselle’s rich culture has influenced her love of dance, Latin food and salsa and merengue music. Connecting her family’s values for culture and learning, she attended the University of Texas and graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance. Today, Giselle is a Financial Analyst for a San Diego-based corporation. She is also an advocate of economic empowerment & volunteers her time for Acción San Diego, a Microfinance Non-Profit Organization. When she’s not cheering or analyzing financial reports, Giselle enjoys cooking, decorating her new home and spending time with her Shiba Inu puppy, Taiko.

Jennifer
Jennifer is originally from the beautiful wine country of Napa Valley and currently resides in Southern California. She has strong Irish roots. Every year her family enjoys gathering at her Irish Grandma's house for a traditional St. Patrick's Day celebration with authentic Irish cuisine. Jennifer is currently finishing her degree in Psychology and teaching dance classes for preschool and elementary age children. She loves dancing, working with children and has a strong passion for the culinary arts. She plans on attending culinary school to become a chef. Jennifer recently traveled to Europe where she had some of the best food she has ever tasted! Her goal now is to master French cuisine and learn the French language by her next visit. Jennifer had the honor of visiting Mexico City and Acapulco on behalf of NFL Mexico earlier this season. This was her first experience interacting with fans and she was amazed to see firsthand that no matter where you are, Chargers’ Fans always come together and unite proudly. Jennifer’s favorite thing about being a Charger Girl is the many opportunities it provides her to interact with the best football fans around - Chargers’ Fans!
