Ember

True to their name, Ember started as a smoldering Austin, TX band. Since their inception in 2003, they have continued, taking in a gallery of senses and emotions and harnessing the raw power they possess on stage to convey the volcanic build up we all have within us. Ember has performed at venues across Texas, the Midwest, and California. In the latter part of 2004, Ember recorded their first EP "Take Everything" with the Pipes brothers (Drowning Pool), and were immediately requested in twelve regions across multiple states. Following the release of the album, the band was offered a recording contract with a small independent label, but declined the offer heeding the words of a fellow friend and professional colleague, Justin Furstenfeld (BLUE OCTOBER).

In 2006, Ember recorded a follow-up E.P, titled "Under Pressure" under the direction of Grammy award winning producer Sylvia Massy Shivy (Tool, Deftones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Powerman 5000) at Radiostar Studios in Weed California. “Under Pressure” aptly demonstrated joy and pain, fear and hope, despair and love - all set to music.

Adding fuel to the fire, in 2008, Ember regrouped with the acquisition of rhythm guitarist Jared Duyck and percussion prodigy Dusty Saxton as well as the re-introduction of founding bass player Matt aka “Chewy” Linton into the line-up. Equipped with a gifted group of musicians, Chris Martinez (lead vocals) and Deuce Wanier (lead guitar) were certain of the bright future ahead of the new Ember - the Ember they were ready to share with the world.

Ember inked representation contracts with both The Price Agency (2008) and Southwest Music Group (2009), in the hope of facilitating Ember into the hearts, souls, and radios of every blue-blooded-rock-loving American. With a flair for blending intelligently written lyrics with exceptional vocals and inspiring guitar solos, all laid over an intense beat that you can’t escape - Ember has garnered a reputation as one of the hottest names in Modern Rock Music.

For Ember, 2009 has been a banner year. In February, testing the resiliency of this impressive group of musicians, a drunk driver collided with Embers tour vehicle following a performance in Houston and nearly derailed the impressive quintet. Due entirely to the love and support of friends, families, and fans, and the sheer tenacity possessed by the members of the band, they persevered and from the ashes of tragedy rose a Phoenix.

The bands first full length album “From The Floor”, recorded at the famed Pedernales Studios (Willie Nelson’s Crib) and engineered by Jacob Sciba is scheduled for release in early Summer 2009. With airplay in 100+ radio markets, a nationwide US tour scheduled for the late Summer and Fall of 2009, and international tour dates booked with Rock and Roll superstars Hinder, Embers volcanic rise is now inevitable. They are writing their own history. …so join us – fan the fire and feed the flames.
