Roar of the Jaguars – Jacksonville Jaguar Cheerleaders

The ROAR is an integral part of Jaguars entertainment during all home games. Under the direction of manager Christy Stechman Zynda, these professional cheerleaders captivate Jaguars fans with their explosive, high-energy routines. When not on the playing field, members of The ROAR serve as goodwill ambassadors for the Jaguars by participating in various community and charitable events nationally and internationally. These leading ladies also spend time entertaining our United States troops all over the world.


Emily C.
Birthday: December 19
College: University of North Florida
Years on the Squad: 3

Emily is a veteran member of the Jacksonville Jaguars Cheerleading Squad, The ROAR. She is pursuing a bachelor's degree in elementary education and maintains a spot on the dean's list for her outstanding GPA. Emily is also a dance instructor for children ages 7 - 16. During her free time Emily enjoys reading, going to the beach and dancing.



Kristen S.
Birthday: January 18
College: Bethune-Cookman University
Years on the squad: 5

Kristen graduated with a B.A. in sociology and is a graduate student pursing a MA in counseling. She works as a counselor. She has 23 years of dance training and is one of the captains for The ROAR, the Jacksonville Jaguars Cheerleaders.



Samantha S.
Birthday: November 18
College: Jacksonville University
Years on the Squad: 2

Samantha is seeking a degree in broadcast journalism and is the producer of the student run television station at her college. She is active in the community with several charitable organizations. Samantha received the title of Miss Jacksonville Teen 2005 and Miss Dance of Florida 2006. She has been dancing for 19 years and teaches at a local studio.



Kayla S.
Birthday: February 18
College: Florida Community College Jacksonville
Years on Squad: 2

Kayla is a full time wife, mother and business owner. She has been dancing for 17 years and is one of the captains for The ROAR, the Jacksonville Jaguars Cheerleaders. She is involved in several charitable organizations in the community helping children with special needs. Kayla is proud to have been named the Rookie of the Year for the 2008-2009 season.



Amanda H.
Birthday: February 14
College: University of North Florida
Years on the squad: 3

Amanda graduated with a degree specializing in business management. Off the field, her entrepreneurial dream of becoming her own boss has come to life through her thriving business. Amanda holds one of the captain positions for The ROAR, the Jacksonville Jaguars Cheerleaders and is proud to have been named the Veteran of the Year for the 2008-2009 season.



Laurie C.
Birthday: March 6
College: University of North Florida
Years on the Squad: 5

Laurie is a graduate student pursuing a master’s degree in health administration and is one of the captains for The ROAR, the Jacksonville Jaguars Cheerleaders. Laurie was Miss River City USA 2009 and is the founder of PROJECT GIRL TALK- a teen advocacy program. After graduation she will be pursuing a career as a United States Navy Officer.
