Rob Maher:
Rob started his comedy career in Washington D.C. His humor is hot, unadulterated and intensely hilarious. Maher describes his comedy as “a good book, a glass of single malt scotch, a comfortable pillow, a Jimi Hendrix solo, a pay per view prison riot and the sun setting over the ocean. It’s everything you ever wanted or needed.”

You may have seen Maher on MHZ’s Megahertz, a live weekly program that provided viewers with the latest in D.C. entertainment. Maher was the show’s movie critic - each week, in front of a live studio audience, he reviewed movies, peppering the reviews with his special comedic slant. Along with his reviews, Maher interviewed moviegoers as they exited the theater. His spontaneity made these exchanges a “must see.” For Megahertz, Maher also interviewed some of today’s biggest stars, including Chris Rock, Jamie Presley and international indie star Franke Potente.

Currently, Rob can be seen in the award winning flu shot PSA in which he has the starring role. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7FhpRMc2n0 Very few comics ever find their voice, but Rob Maher has found his. It’s loud, clear, insightful, confident and funny. Above all, it’s not to be missed.

D’Lai
D’Lai is one of the hottest new comics in the business. He demonstrates that the best comedy often arises from the most challenging circumstances. He dreamed of playing in the NBA, but after admitting to friends and family that the NBA was a stretch “due to an inability to grow,” D’Lai enlisted in the Army where he earned his commission as a 2nd Lieutenant. Having a quick wit and an innate ability to impersonate drill sergeants, D’Lai would successfully host most of the military talent shows. Though he soon developed a love for the stage, he was not sure if he had what it took to be a professional.

D’Lai moved back to Baton Rouge, LA where he learned the trade of being a black jack dealer in a casino. He enjoyed dealing because the black jack table was a platform to entertain, regardless if the customers were winning or losing. D’Lai soon became known as the “Robin Hood” of Black Jack dealers. “I truly enjoyed giving the house’s money away,” he admits. He found out that his daily chants of: “I’m the people’s dealer, I give to the poor,” while giving away the casino’s money, did not sit well with the pit boss, casino managers and executives. Needless to say, he was let go. But, in a fortuitous turn of events, he was approached by an acquaintance who suggested he try stand up comedy…and a new chapter began.
