Clarias

Clarias is a five piece pop/rock group based in Boston with a unique sound that has received acclaim from music enthusiasts, critics and industry professionals alike. A commitment towards writing and performing innovative and unique music has brought this group from the smallest basement clubs to the likes of amphitheaters and stadiums with their exciting live shows, and the very successful 2005 release of their album "Lines".

And now, their brand new studio album, "The Days of the Getaway", has been produced, engineered and mixed by the award winning music producer, Matthew Ellard (Weezer, Wilco, Eliot Smith) and mastered by Fred Kevorkian (Willie Nelson, Iggy Pop, Dave Matthews Band). Recorded over the fall and winter of 2008, "The Days of the Getaway" takes the band's sound in a different direction exploring sounds reminiscent of pop/rock legends with multi-layered arrangements and vocal harmonies as well as contemporary sounding and accessible pop-rock music. Clarias is a Boston Music Award nominee, and has shared bills with bands like Bon Jovi, Nickleback, Barenaked Ladies, Kanye West and Jimmy Buffet. Their music has received play on major AAA radio stations, college stations, Satellite Radio and top Boston radio station WBMX Mix 98.5FM named them "Boston's Best Band".

The first single "WINOK" is currently available for free digital download exclusively on MySpace. "The Days of the Getaway" is set for release in May 2009 and will be available at various retailers including Newbury Comics, iTunes, and CDBaby.
