Good Girl Hank

Like the thriving downtown Los Angeles art scene from which they were born, Good Girl Hank lives in a constant state of creative evolution. The result is an eclectic mix of Electronic Dance, Afro-Beat, and rocked out R&B. This group of six musicians blend these elements into a multi-textured sonic landscape bursting with melodic invention. Essentially, Good Girl Hank is the personification of a DJ’s mind. Utilizing an almost uncanny musical synchronicity, these young musicians move across huge swaths of musical territory that range from minimalistic soundscapes to wildly ambitious world music epics.

Good Girl Hank formed in 2007 by southern California natives and former schoolmates Justin Kirk (trombone, synths) and Michael Lindsay (drums). They enlisted some of Los Angeles’ best up-and-coming musicians including Robby Marshall (sax, keys), Ben Adamson (trumpet, EVI, synths), Christian Wunderlich (guitar) and Devin Hoffman (bass). The band invites special guest vocalists to perform with them as well as visual artists and dancers.

Good Girl Hank has quickly become a major draw on the downtown Los Angeles music scene, especially with the "creative-style" set. They have played a three-year residency at the popular downtown Los Angeles whiskey bar Seven Grand and regularly at downtown art galleries and late night speakeasies. Good Girl Hank recently performed on the main stage at the well attended Lightning in a Bottle Festival.

Collectively, these young talents have performed and recorded with such artists as Snoop Dogg, Jason Mraz, DJ Quik, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sly Stone, Parliament Funkadelic, George Clinton, Eek A Mouse, Dakah, Everlast, Michael Buble, and Steve Miller.

Good Girl Hank is most recognized for their dynamic energy, hypnotic grooves and an intimate set that takes you on a personal journey.
