Slant: (Definition 3.) -a. " A personal point of view or opinion, a perspective"

Slant is a rock band out of Los Angeles, California with Fahim Zaman (lead vocals and guitar), Munir Haque (Rhythm Guitar), Ilya Karpman (bass) and James Arce (drums). Their music has been compared to a mix of Nirvana, Tool, Thrice and Chevelle with a progressive edge.

Slant has released two albums in their career that have given promise and success to the rock world. With their strong song writing skills on tracks - Broken Wings, Lying & Bleeding and All I'm Good For - Slant has landed placements in popular gaming systems (Wii, Ps2 and Xbox) and movies such as the Lionsgate film Beatdown. The band's single from their sophomore album All I'm Good For can be heard on KROQ's Locals Only Sunday PM show.

Slant has toured overseas in support of the United States Army as well as performed throughout the West Coast, opening for Acts such as POD, Powerman 5000, Alien Ant Farm, Adema, Silversun Pickups and more. Currently, Slant is writing new material and booking events for the rest of 2011.
