(Nashville, TN) The "Worlds Longest Letter of Support to Our Troops," will be delivered to U.S. troops in the Middle East in January by Carly Goodwin, a Nashville recording artist. The historic 15 mile-long document is officially called the "Baby Come Back Home Soldier Scrolls," and contains signatures of U.S. Congressman, Senators, luminaries from the entertainment world, and people from across America, and around the globe. It will be presented by Goodwin to soldiers at 18 U.S. military bases in seven countries on an Armed Forces Entertainment tour of Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, U.A.E., Bahrain, Qatar and Djibouti, scheduled for January 3-30, 2006.

Goodwin and the scrolls spent the week of December 7-14 in Washington, D.C., where, with the help of Congressmen Jim Cooper (D-Tn.), Republicans and Democrats came together in a bi-partisan effort to sign the scrolls to support the troops. Cooper, Lincoln Davis (D-Tn.), Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-Tn.), and other government officials took the opportunity to sign the historic document. Goodwin also delivered the first portion of the scroll at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center where she has regularly visited wounded soldiers several times in the past two years.

The scrolls are the brainchild of Goodwin, a 24-year-old female singer from Nashville. The idea first began over a year ago, when she co-wrote a song entitled, "Baby Come Back Home" with Gerald Smith, a Nashville songwriter, and her mother, Gail Goodwin. The song honors the unrecognized, and often unnoticed sacrifices of a soldier's spouse. "Baby Come Back Home" has since became an anthem, embraced by military families around the world. The scrolls were first launched in Nashville in June of this year, and since that time, they have grown to over fifteen miles of messages of love and support. Country music celebrities including The Oak Ridge Boys, Donna Fargo, Tanya Tucker, Brooks & Dunn, Willie Nelson, members of the Musik Mafia, and Gretchen Wilson have signed the scrolls, along with politicians, and average Americans from 47 states, and more than 15 countries.

Southwest Airlines launched their own mini- tour of the Baby Come Back Home Soldier Scroll over Veteran's Day weekend, where Goodwin performed concerts at airports and offered the public the chance to add their personal message to the historic scrolls.

Goodwin's musical career has also "taken flight" during this past year. Her debut CD, Carly Goodwin, features a duet of the song "Crazy," with country legend, Willie Nelson - the only time Nelson has ever recorded a duet of this classic song on any country album. The CD has received strong reviews from the press, including Billboard magazine, who gave it a "Critic's Choice" for outstanding musical merit and a glowing review.

"My goal is to let our brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, sons and daughters know that they are not alone. We have not forgotten them. I can't wait to deliver a mile of the scroll to each base and literally 'wrap them' in America's love and support," states Goodwin.
