Stacy Allison, best known as Americaís first woman to summit Mt. Everest, embarks on her first Armed Forces Entertainment tour to bases in Germany March 29 ñ April 8. Combining her experience and knowledge as a mountain climber, author, business owner, wife and mother of two; Allison will present to the troops Beyond the Limits, where she will recount the Everest challenge and how it changed her life.

ìThe dynamic presentation is a suspenseful, triumphant adventure story; a primer for anyone who has ever faced a mountain, physical or metaphorical, and reached for its summit,î said Capt. Luke Hardaway, United States Air Force circuit manager for the European region.

Climbing mountains since the age of 21, Allison has reached the infamous peaks of Mt. McKinley, Alaska; Ama Dablam, Nepal's Matterhorn; Pik Communism, Russia; and Mount Everest, Nepal. Mount Everest is the worldís highest point at 29, 028 feet and is a must-do for many climbers.

ìClimbing takes an immense amount of strength and endurance, similar to those serving in the US military,î said Allison. ìI have a number of reservists in my general contracting business that have been affected by the situation in Iraq,î said Allison

ìI am happy to do my part to provide inspiration through my own experiences. Because no matter how removed we think we are from the situation, it affects all of us in some way and I think itís important for us to do what we can to show support for our troops and their families.î

ìMrs. Allison is going to be the first motivational speaker Armed Forces Entertainment has ever sent on tour and I know itís something the troops and their families are really going to enjoy,î said Hardaway.
