The Chicago Hot Rox Dancers will join Armed Forces Entertainment on tour to perform for troops stationed in Japan and Okinawa from September 3-21. The high-energy show is designed to pump up crowds with dance, song, skits and lots of fan engagement.

Founded in 2006, the Hot Rox Dancers are a professional team of entertainers that have already carved out a name in the Chicagoland area. As the professional dance team for Major League Soccer’s Chicago Fire, as well as the National Lacrosse League’s Chicago Shamrox and Major League Baseball’s Chicago White Sox Pride Crew, the Hot Rox Dancers have built a large following of enthusiastic fans.

“It’s a good thing all these girls love to perform, because that’s what drives us,” says Hot Rox Dancers director and choreographer Kim Brancamp. “But, touring with AFE goes so far beyond performance – for us, it’s an ultimate honor.”

Though the Hot Rox Dancers are no strangers to community outreach, this is the first time the group will get to perform for troops. They participate in meet-and-greet events with over 100,000 people each year, including the Windy City Classic, which benefits Walter Payton’s Foundation and Martinis and Bikinis Golf Classic, benefiting autism research.

“Getting to perform for the troops has been a dream of mine since I started dancing as a little girl,” says Brancamp. “It’s our honor to be able to do what we love and give something back to people who make such sacrifices.” says Brancamp.

“The Chicago Hot Rox Dancers really offer something for everybody,” says Marine Corps Captain Jamie Fleischhacker, Armed Forces Entertainment circuit manager for the Pacific. “We’re very proud to welcome them on tour and know our audiences will enjoy the shows.”

The tour will also feature industry veteran Dan Morrell, who has also shared the stage with Kanye West, Diddy, T-Pain, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Shakira and LL Cool J. Morrell will spin a soundtrack of music as varied as the audience itself, including familiar classic rock, country and hip hop tunes.

"Basically, we just want to make them happy and we want them to remember it,” says Brancamp. “I want to stay until we meet and greet every single person and leave having made a difference.”
