| Tess's Funny Honeys’ -- the hot and crazy troupe of female comedians -- will entertain troops stationed in the Pacific October 5 - 25. The Los Angeles-based group, formed by comedian Tess Drake, will bring their irreverent brand of humor to U.S. military bases in Hawaii, Kwajalein, Guam, Singapore and Diego Garcia.
For Drake, getting the chance to go on an Armed Forces Entertainment tour is the realization of a lifelong dream. "Getting to perform for the military has always been a passion of mine," she said. "They are the most appreciative audience there is. On this tour, we want to bring our troops a little piece of home, a little love and lots and lots of laughter. We want everyone to be ready to come laugh with us and have fun."
Joining Drake on the tour are comedians Melinda Hill, April Macie, Sarah Tiana and Shayma Tash.
"The Funny Honeys not only put on a great comedy show, but they are all-around pleasant ladies," said Frank Tagatac, Armed Forces Entertainment regional and circuit manager for the Pacific and the Caribbean.”
And, spending time with the troops and their families is just as important to them as their performances. They enjoy playing pool, going bowling and just hanging out and talking with everyone while they're on base."
