Chicago-based band to entertain troops stationed in Europe

Hello Dave combines classic and southern rock with pop, country and rhythm & blues to create a unique sound that appeals to every music lover. Embarking on their fifth Armed Forces Entertainment tour, Hello Dave brings its live show to military bases in Europe Feb 11 – Mar 8.

“We feel privileged to be chosen to entertain our troops for the fifth time with Armed Forces Entertainment,” said lead guitarist and singer, Mike Himebaugh. “Our intentions have always been to bring the men and women of the armed forces a piece of home by providing them with some good old fashioned American rock n’ roll, sure to ease any home sick soul.”

Performing together since the early 90’s Hello Dave has released five full-length albums and performed over a thousand shows. Often referred to as the “Eagles of the New Millennium”, the Chicago based band will deliver an unforgettable performance for those who serve our country.

“Hello Dave always puts on a high energy show, which is exactly what the troops look for in entertainment,” said U.S. Marine Corp Capt. Jesse Davidson, Armed Forces Entertainment circuit manager for Europe. “The band put on an incredible show for the troops stationed in Southwest Asia last year and I have no doubt they will do the same in Europe.”

During the band’s last tour through Southwest Asia, they were featured on the NEWS 21 student-produced documentary showing the intimate side of how entertainers live and work with the troops, while giving and receiving inspiration when touring for the US military overseas. The program aired on CNN Anderson Cooper 360 on September 15, 2006.
