Armed Forces Entertainment takes popular Latin musicians on tour

The sensational Latin music group, Hot Molina, will perform for troops stationed in the Mediterranean when Armed Forces Entertainment takes the band on tour, September 21 – Oct ober 16.  Led by Peruvian-born Manuel Molina, the band's repertoire showcases high-energy salsa, rumba, mambo, merengue and pop sounds.

Having entertained U.S. troops all over the globe for the past 12 years, Molina has been called "Latino Bob Hope."  He is renowned for his skill of mixing sounds from all over Central America, South America and the Caribbean to create a style all his own.

"We are passionate about performing for our armed forces stationed around the world," said Molina.  "It gives us great joy to give something back to them as a way to say thank you for all that they do."

Hot Molina features seven musicians: three vocalists, two percussionists, one guitarist, and one bassist.  The band's interactive dance moves and infectious enthusiasm ensure that their audiences are on their feet for hours, dancing to a high-energy production.  In addition to traditional mambo, meregue and s alsa, Hot Molina performs covers of favorite tunes by acts such as the Gypsy Kings, Ricky Martin, Luis Miguel, Gloria Estefan, Shakira and Santanta.

"Hot Molina will have the audience mambo-ing and conga-ing around the dance floor in no time," said Marine Corps Captain Jesse Davidson, Armed Forces Entertainment circuit manager for Europe and the Mediterranean . "They are second to none when it comes to putting on the ultimate dance party."
