ARLINGTON, Va. – Alex Trebek, host of “Jeopardy!” – America’s Favorite Quiz Show®, will meet service members and their families on a USO/Armed Forces Entertainment tour to Japan and Okinawa March 27–April 1.  A long-time USO supporter, Trebek will host events at several military installations, posing for photos and signing autographs.

The “Jeopardy!” team also will conduct contestant searches and play “just for fun” versions of “Jeopardy!” for military personnel and their families.  In addition, the “Jeopardy!” crew will record clues on location that will air on future “Jeopardy!” shows.

As host of the popular show since its debut in 1984, Trebek has been a recipient of four Daytime Emmy Awards for “Outstanding Game Show Host.”

A supporter of the USO since 1987, Trebek has gone on more than 10 USO tours and has twice hosted the USO World Headquarters Gala.  For his efforts, Trebek was recognized with the Bob Hope Entertainment Award in 1998.

This tour continues the USO/AFE tradition of bringing celebrities to troops stationed far from home.  Entertainers who recently participated in USO tours include David Alan Grier, Carrie Underwood, Wilmer Valderrama, Jo Dee Messina, Al Franken, Bill Engvall, Craig Ferguson and Henry Rollins.

USO tours are sponsored by AT&T, Inc., the official telecommunications sponsor of USO entertainment tours.
