| After an incredible year of topping the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart for eight consecutive weeks, State of Man will bring East Coast entertainment to the troops stationed in the Pacific. State of Man will tour through Okinawa, Japan, Korea, Guam and Kwajalein Mar. 27-Apr. 26.
State of Man has been together for six years and has opened for major acts like Kid Rock, Live, Stone Temple Pilots, No Doubt and Hoobastank. Voted XM Satellite Radio’s “Artist of the Week,” the band continues to keep the music industry buzzing by building momentum through a busy tour schedule.
“Serving time in the military gave me the utmost respect and admiration for those men and women who selflessly protect our country day-in and day-out,” said John Stringer, lead vocalist for State of Man. “As a band we want nothing more than to utilize our talents, let the troops know we’re big fans, while giving them an encouraging taste of home.”
Recently, State of Man released a new full-length CD “Both Sides of the Story” featuring hit songs “Swallow Your Fears” and “Be Still My Heart.” Their catchy tunes and consistent work ethic are indicative of a promising long-term career in music.
“While State of Man may be climbing the charts and rising to the top, their commitment to entertain the troops shows their integrity and succor in doing their part for the USA,” said Air Force Captain A. Semrau, Armed Forces Entertainment Pacific circuit manager. “With a memorable performance and solid song line-up, their show will definitely put a kick in military personnel’s day.”
The band’s accomplishments include performing for an audience of 15,000 at the Music Midtown Festival in Atlanta and being interviewed by MTV about the performance. State of Man was featured in Vanity Fair in October 2004 and participated in the Budweiser True Music Ad campaign.
State of Man has gained rave reviews, receiving airplay major radio stations on the East Coast, including XM radio. AtlantaRockShows.com stated, “anyone who is a fan of rock, soul, alternative or just plain good music owes it to him or herself to check out State of Man.”
