Denver Nuggets Dancers

The Denver Nuggets Dancers were created in the early 1980s . At that time, they were known more as a “filler” so to speak- performing between plays and during time-outs. Now, the Denver Nuggets Dancers are a staple of the Denver community both through their performances at all of the Denver Nuggets home games as well as their work with many charitable and children’s organizations. The Nuggets Dancers have worked with many organizations to raise awareness and funding for their causes. Some of these organizations are Make a Wish, Race for Cure, Ronald McDonald House, Special Olympics, and many, many more. They are very active in the Denver Nuggets Children’s Charities and make annual visits to children’s hospital to visit with the patients and their families. In 2002, the Denver Nuggets Dancers embarked on a “Goodwill Tour” during which they were fortunate enough to visit many US troops based in Italy, Turkey, and Bosnia. In addition, the Dancers take part in a charity event that takes place in Chihuahua, Mexico each year with Eduardo Najera and many other NBA players to help raise funding for their community. Last summer the Nuggets Dancers were exclusively chosen by the NBA to visit Hangzhou, China. The Dancers were able to perform for the people of Hangzhou and teach dance clinics to high school students. The Nuggets Dancers are known as one of the top three dance teams in the league and will continue to help whenever they are needed; not only in the Denver community, but through out the nation and world wide as well.
