Drama for the Masses

"What more can you do than work hard, have fun, and let the rest be what it is?" These are more than the words of guitarist / backup vocalist Brad Franklin of Long Island, NY-based DRAMA FOR THE MASSES. He, along with bandmates Graham Capobianco (vocals), Keri Boyd (bass / vocals), Johnny Melanson (guitars / vocals), and Jason Enz (drums), has had his share of success.  Stemming out of bands that were staples of the independent music scene on the east coast (including Bayside, Don't Look Down, Sarcasm, and Easton Legacy), as individuals the members of DFTM have recorded and toured extensively, played countless Warped Tour dates, and even been featured on Fuse's "Daily Download." However, DRAMA FOR THE MASSES was created out of a desire for something more. "We really wanted to do something special," says Capobianco, the energetic frontman of the group. "This band has done a lot, and now that we're comfortable with our lineup and I have the confidence of the people behind me, the sky's the limit."

To say that Drama For The Masses has done 'a lot' in their first year of existence may be an understatement. Formed in July 2006, the band has already been on a handful of nationwide tours, released a stunning, self-produced, full-length CD titled "Last Chance For First Impressions," and have been named one of the Top 10 Unsigned Bands of 2006 by Alternative Press in their February 2007 issue.  Considering all of this was achieved within only twelve short months, and the staggering pace at which DRAMA FOR THE MASSES is currently working, Capobianco may just be right about his band. The sky is the limit.
