Facts: In Webster’s dictionary, “Entice” is defined as a (verb)- to allure or tempt. For anybody who’s heard this group of four, then you’d know how “Entice” became. Entice is four best friends, with a passion for playing the music they love and that depicts events in their lives. As Entice was created, they instantly found themselves in the spotlight, and on the road. After playing local shows for half a year Entice ventured out on the California leg of the 2006 Vans Warped Tour, and have been showcasing their new sounds to the world.

Entice came together with the notion that music was their passion, and now, with a new unique sound, Entice’s call to you is to come enjoy a new wave of music that’s spreading fast!

Slap on your headphones, crank up the iPod, and get ready for Isaac Leland, Rowan Fraser, Luis Mancilla, and Kevin Brunhober, coming at you with guitars screaming, piano blasting, drums wailing and bass boosting.

Entice’s powerful, fresh, innovative, emotion driven music is most compared to Muse, One Republic, and The Fray. “I wanted to create a sound that hits your ears hard and makes it’s way down to your heart,” explains Isaac. “The distinct piano/rock configuration has been tried in the past, but Rowan’s piano is what we felt would set us apart from most anything else on the market today.”

In summer 2005 Entice began to deliver its live show all around Southern California, which is when the band found it’s first opportunities to showcase their new music from their self-titled EP, “Entice,” to their few found fans. Now, eighteen months later Entice can be found playing every thing from morning television news programming, shows though out California’s best music venues, to the OCNYE (Orange County New Year’s Eve Ball Drop Celebration), and the Vans Warped Tour (now two years strong).

BAND BIOS:

Isaac Leland (Lead guitar & vocals) - I first started writing music on a cheap four track recorder and as bad as it was, to me every song was a masterpiece. I spent hours perfecting and reworking a lot of my first stuff. Everyone in school knew me as a CIF champion wrestler and had no idea I could write, play or sing music. When we started playing shows people were thinking there’s no way we’d pull this off. I remember seeing a lot of dropped jaws!

Rowan Fraser (Keyboards) - I started out with a love for music, I remember always wanting to create my own music, then after taking a year’s worth of piano lessons from age twelve, I quit, and then came back to playing the piano again when I was sixteen. The first thing I did when I started playing again was work on writing my own music, and was able to incorporate that into the band, which is how we started Entice.

Luis Mancilla (Drums) - I was drumming “Wipeout” on my desk in the sixth grade and my friend behind me said I should do percussion. I got my first drum set when I was in the 8th grade and taught myself how to play. My freshman year I started playing in a hardcore band called “Crucial Moment,” and when that band broke up I got a call to come play with Entice.

Kevin Brunhober (Bass guitar) - Kevin first picked up the bass the Christmas before he started high school, and since then he’s played in few different bands, starting with with a screamo style, to then a hard rock group, and then a rock band. When Kevin came across Entice, he immediately liked the high energy of the band and the music. Kevin is the most recent addition to Entice, and Kevin’s musical experience will for sure keep taking Entice to new levels.

“My first impressions of Entice are, ok, My Chemical Romance/ The Used gone surf town. And really when you listen to them that’s the feel you get. It’s actually a bit interesting, there is definitely a fan base for their sound and I’m sure they’ll grow and grow as they mature as a band and clean up their sound. Their 4 track EP has a mix of acoustic/electric songs with power ballads mid song which take you through a bit of a roller coaster ride. I really really really do see potential in this band. They’ve got a sound about them. They’re young and they do deserve your support, so go see them live, check them out on iTunes and all that. I’m sure we’ll be keeping our eye on Entice.” - review by Will O. - Lat34.com
