Margot B

Margot B. began singing at a young age but has been on an upward climb since the age of 13 when she wrote, In My Dreams, a tribute to the late Dr.Martin Luther King, Jr. Her song has been played at MLK events nationwide for the past 4 years and continues to get recognition.

Margot became National Miss Black Teen at the age of 16 with a long list of national and regional modeling to her credit. However, being just another pretty face wasn’t enough.

On April 30, 2005 Margot B. released her first full CD entitled, Unframed, to a sell out crowd at the Hard Rock Cafe in Pittsburgh, Pa. Since that time, she has been performing to a growing fan base. The stage sizzles with the sundry tunes written and co-produced by Margot B.

The release of her first CD invited the following review from the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, "Over 10 songs, Margot B. hits on the sultry Alicia Keys style ballad, Avril Lavigne teen rock, Beyonce R&B and jazzy pop that calls to mind Rickie Lee Jones."

In the EP, Inspired, Margot B. takes a break from the original tunes and gives tribute to 5 African American Artists who truly inspired her to live her dream. Her rendition of the collection has become a favorite to all ages and continues to draw praise Nationwide.

As her fan base continues to grow, it becomes clear that her eclectic and creative collection explores a variety of genres and makes a connection to many groups of listeners. She is infectious!

Margot is currently working with producer B.Darius, previously of the Fugees, on a more Urban, R&B/Pop collection. While playing the local circuit such as Mr.Smalls, the Hard Rock Café, Club Café, Mellon Arena, performing for the NBA and the NFL, her most memorable performance was just recently when she debuted some of her new tunes at the Black Eyed Peas Show to a crowd of nearly 60K with rave reviews. She now looks forward to her first US Troops Tour in the Spring.

Margot B. is currently a freshman at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pa. and is attending the COPA conservatory for Dancing, Singing and Acting. Margot was highly recruited after her two week run of Aida…establishing her as a true ‘triple threat’ for her acting, dancing and singing ability. With her highest admiration for the late Aaliyah, Margot has a mentor and idol she feels very connected to and hopes to step in her path someday.As producer, Rick Witkowski quotes, "Margot is a rare and wonderful, natural talent and a true blessing to work with".
