Strangleweed

Strangleweed is a top-quality, American, mainstream rock & roll band. They perform their music with a hard edge and unshakeable intent that exudes charisma. This "no apologies, no punches pulled" band from Dallas, Texas is reminiscent of early 70's grooves with the conviction of the mid 90's rock movement. Strangleweed brings to mind an organic, yet defined sound with a lyrical spirit mixed with the prowess of many of the late 90's alternative/ power pop/rock blends and still retains its modern charm. It’s time for you to escape the ordinary.

With the release of their debut album, these boys have braved the southern rock label and established a declaration that “Rock is not dead!” The Debut album “Present 2 Pastime” is a landmark statement to not only rock fans, but music lovers everywhere. Staking out their territory with this memorable masterpiece is the "icing on the cake".

This bastard son of 6 years of rock and roll sweat was cast in to its distinctive 2" analog sound at the legendary Palmyra Studios in Palmer, Texas. Engineer and Producer Paul “Pappy” Middleton (Erika Badu, Bonnie Raitt, Chris Isaac) inflects his own lick of elegance while letting these boys engrave their steadfast desire into 15 predatory tracks that will leave you yearning for a more.

This rock and roll weed keeps growing by leaps and bounds, regardless of the medium it soils. From crumpled handbills to lights, cameras and international exposure, Strangleweed is headed for The Big Time. This Rumble is becoming a Roar!
