Jessica Lorenzi (Tommy Davidson and Rob Maher)

Thank you so much for scheduling the comedians Tommy Davidson and Rob Maher to visit us here in Italy. It was such a great time and I loved seeing my husband laughing to tears. Naples, Italy may not be Baghdad, Iraq or Kabul, Afghanistan but we are still a world away from home. Thanks so much for bringing a little bit of home to us. It is very much appreciated. I look forward to many more Armed Forces Entertainment events! Bring 'em on!

To all you women and men serving this great nation…our humble thanks. We had an opportunity of a lifetime and are touched by the sacrifices you make every day for us. Entertaining and performing for you all was nothing short of a blessing for us. To bring a little rock ‘n roll, happiness and a lil’ home for a few hours was special indeed. In fact, we wrote a song on our recently released album One Night Stand titled Hurry Up and Wait, as this became our touring anthem - watching close and afar from the transit points those waiting to go home and those waiting to get back to their units, standing by to stand by. From the icy cold temperatures of Manas Air Base in Kyrgyzstan to riding at high speeds on the “Bang Bus” in Kabul and flying low on a SH60 to a guided missile cruiser in the Persian Gulf, to the hot climate of Camp Al Dhafra, we are blessed to have been able to entertain you all. Each of you is on stage performing a mission more critical than most will ever understand. And, we now know it’s not just the job; it’s about each other. May God bless all of you and all those in the MWR jobs, along with Armed Forces Entertainment, there aren’t enough thanks to give, but there is a lot of sincere gratitude and love!

I'm glad that I was in Bahrain to meet the Ultimate Fighting guys. The Q&A period that they allowed gave the service members an opportunity to ask real questions and to get real responses. Cool dudes!

Hip Kitty was a treat for the service members of Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti. They covered wide areas of pop & rock classics, entertaining the large crowd who came out for the great show! After the show, they hung out with everyone and even made a few new friends along the way and, one in particular, Brooks Herring, U.S. Navy - during their live performance, Hip Kitty lead guitarist Mike Goncalves passed the guitar to Herring who played several songs with the band in front of his fellow shipmates and live audience. This tour was a huge crowd-pleaser amongst camp personnel. Thank you Armed Forces Entertainment.
