NY All Star Comedy Tour

Elayne Boosler
Comedian/writer/animal activist Elayne Boosler is best known for her thoughtful and feisty political humor, and her love of baseball and animals, all sharing a big part of her act. For 39 years, she seemingly has appeared on every talk show on TV, has produced and written five one-hour Showtime comedy specials, written and directed two movies for Cinemax, appeared on Comic Relief for years, on Politically Incorrect more than 30 times, and has hosted specials, series and events. Boosler has also done baseball color commentary and even sang the National Anthem and threw out a first pitch for many teams.

In 1985 she financed her own comedy special, Party of One, when the cable stations would not let a female stand-up comic have a special. The success of her show blew open the gates of TV opportunities for female comedians. She recently spent years sitting in for Stephanie Miller on Miller’s syndicated radio show and hosted the game show Balderdash for NBC in 2005 and 2006. She has traveled the world doing stand-up from Las Vegas to colleges and the London Palladium to the White House Press Correspondent’s Dinner for President Clinton. Boosler has performed for the Queen of England as well as the President and U.S. Congress at Ford’s Theater. She moderated the Democratic Presidential Candidates Debate on C-Span for NOW and is very active in women’s and political issues. She has written for TV, print and film, and you can find a current large body of her work on the Huffington Post.

Boosler appears on any show where comedy and politics come together, does scores of animal rescue benefits each year and is back on the road with a new stand-up show. She is currently working on several writing projects, including a book she will release early next year, entitled Big Fun.

James Mendrinos
Comedian Jim Mendrinos is the common man with uncommon comedy observations. From world politics to the politics of personal relationships, Mendrinos' everyman insights create a symphony of comedy covering a wide spectrum of humanity. Inspired by his New York City roots and an eclectic collection of artists – including comics Robert Klein, Richard Pryor and Freddie Prinze, with traces of John Coltrane, Jack Kerouac and Beyond the Fringe thrown in for good measure – Mendrinos blows right by the standard comedy fare. Simply put, he carries on an hour-long conversation with the audience. His act is a comedic exploration of emotional peaks and valleys challenging the audience to mine the topics with him.

Mendrinos is a seasoned, professional stand-up comedian. Starting at the age of 19, the audience has seen him grow up before their eyes, appreciating his unique outlook on life every step of the way. The audience goes from the laughter of recognition, as Mendrinos covers the things they were talking about "just today," to the laughter inspired by delighted wonder as they experience new things through the flat-out funny observations of this trusted performer.

He is respected in the industry so much so that he was asked to author The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Comedy Writing. Mendrinos’ comedy has been featured on stand-up stages around the world; he has brought his special brand of funny to SiTV, Comedy Central, The Fox News Network, HBO and the BBC. Mendrinos is the comic who you will laugh hard with tonight and quote for years to come.

Carole Montgomery
Audiences say they feel like Carole Montgomery is sitting in their living room saying the things they'd never say. Her edgy, truthful style of comedy is a tribute to her hero, Richard Pryor. In addition to her numerous TV appearances, she has headlined clubs and colleges across the United States and has starred in two different Las Vegas production shows. During her 10 years as a Las Vegas star she was seen by more than five million people; The Las Vegas Sun calls Montgomery "one of Vegas’ premier comics," the San Antonio Express-News says Carole is "one of the pioneering female comics of the modern era," and the Seattle Times calls Montgomery "one of the strongest women working today." Mark Riccadonna
The minute Mark Riccadonna gets on stage, you'll laugh and feel like you've known him forever. He is so unusually funny in his delivery, unique voice and his uncanny likeability onstage and off that he is becoming one of the fastest rising stars on the comedy scene today. But, you can't catch this rising star and put him in your pocket, he'd burn a hole right through it. Riccadonna already has nabbed several national commercials, including McDonald's and Visa. In addition to being one of the fastest rising stars in New York’s comedy scene, Riccadonna has also been involved in theater, sketch comedy, improv, television, promotional work and advertisements. He currently works with a film company and is a cast member of The Man Hole, a comedy series available on DVD.

Riccadonna is a much-needed breath of fresh air in comedy – a must-see for the young and old. His energy brings you right into his world and allows you to go on an emotional roller coaster ride through his life. Growing up in small-town Ohio with dreams of college football, a serious injury put his life on hold. To his surprise, destiny fell into his lap and he became a theater major and eventually one of the hardest-working comics in New York.
